Plant Nook Journal is a practical guide to keeping houseplants alive and thriving — in real homes, with real light, real schedules and sometimes real pets.
Why this site exists
Most plant advice is either too vague (“bright, indirect light”) or written for greenhouses. Here every guide answers one question properly: why your pothos leaves are turning yellow, how often to water a snake plant in winter, which plants are safe around cats. Clear steps, honest trade-offs, no filler.
Who writes it
Hi, I’m Salman Hafeez. I started Plant Nook Journal to put clear, well-checked answers to everyday houseplant questions in one place — written for beginners and busy plant owners, wherever you live.
How the guides are made
- Every care guide is checked against established horticultural sources (university extension services, botanical gardens) and, for pet safety, the ASPCA plant list.
- Guides are updated when advice changes or a reader spots a mistake — the date at the top shows the last review.
- Photos and illustrations are either our own or clearly AI-generated and labelled as such.
How this site earns money
Some pages link to products such as grow lights, pots and potting mixes. If you buy through those links we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never decides what we recommend. Details are on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
